An attractive, evergreen tree, typically reaching 8 meters tall and 3 meters wide, ideal as a specimen or for screening and native plantings, as well as for attracting birds. It features long, narrow, smooth, leathery glossy green leaves, often with a red tinge on new growth. In spring, it displays clusters of cream to pale-pink flowers, followed by red-orange berries. Tolerant of shade, it is frost-tender when young.
