Teucrium parvifolium is a compact native shrub found most often in the east on dry river terraces and forest margins. Its small rounded leaves sit on orange twiggy stems, and in spring and summer it is covered with masses of delicate white flowers, later leaving star-shaped seed calyces. Hardy and tolerant of poor soils, it makes an excellent choice for hedging, borders, or adding contrast in the garden.
