taupata is a robust evergreen shrub known for its thick, glossy, dark-green leaves that give it a shiny appearance.  It is highly tolerant of salt spray and harsh winds, making it an excellent choice for coastal hedging and screening. The plant produces small, inconspicuous flowers followed by showy clusters of red-orange fruit that attract birds. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is highly adaptable, requiring low maintenance once established.
