A hardy evergreen shrub with small, heart-shaped leaves grow densely on short stems, creating an attractive display. In summer, it features small but striking white flowers that develop into red-violet berries that attract birds. This shrub is a great addition to mixed plantings or around larger trees and can be shaped into a fantastic hedge with regular trimming. Its smooth, mottled bark displays patches of grey and greenish-cream.
