A hardy, herbaceous perennial that forms a tight mat of glossy, bright green leaves and produces small, scented white flowers through summer. It is ideal for use as ground cover, along borders, beside water features, in containers, or cascading over walls. Highly adaptable, it tolerates wet, dry, or coastal soils and grows well in full sun to partial shade. Plant 30–40 cm apart for best coverage, and trim lightly to refresh growth. Though semi-evergreen and able to withstand a wide range of conditions, foliage may thin in colder winters.
