  • Veronica stricta var. stricta | koromiko

A hardy, upright shrub found throughout much of Te Ika-a-Māui. Koromiko has long pale-green leaves and produces dense spikes of tiny white to pale lilac flowers. It thrives in full sun and open habitats such as coastal areas, wetland margins, and the edges of bush, making it a useful pioneer for revegetation and a reliable choice for exposed sites. Evergreen and adaptable, koromiko is a favourite with bees and butterflies and provides shelter for small wildlife.
