  • Chionochloa conspicua | hunangāmoho, broad-leaved bush tussock

Growing as a dense tussock with long, arching silvery to mid-green leaves, often tinged red-brown, broad-leaved hunangāmoho brings texture and movement to the landscape. Hardy and easy to grow, it suits both large-scale plantings and domestic gardens, performing well around ponds and streams, in open borders, or as a striking specimen plant. An evergreen alpine tussock, it thrives in sun to light shade, tolerates wind and drought once established, and is well suited to low-maintenance, naturalistic garden settings.
