    This versatile native is a tough, spreading shrub found on northern coasts and offshore islands, ideally suited for challenging coastal conditions with wind and salt spray. It typically reaches 2 meters tall and 1 meter wide. It features attractive, large, leathery green leaves with serrated edges, and its stems produce yellow flowers followed by distinctive white and purple fruit. It is is considered an excellent choice for cultivation in exposed coastal sites due to its resilience.
