Clematis cunninghamii| Akangākaukiore
This evergreen clematis is an attractive and popular climber, reaching around 4m, ideal for growing on well-established shrubs and small trees where it won't smother them. It features delicate, bright green trifoliate leaves that are brownish and downy when young. From September to November, it produces a profusion of small, pale yellow, sweetly scented star-shaped flowers. This versatile plant is excellent for low-maintenance plantings, creating living walls for privacy screens, or as a decorative solitary and architectural plant. Its ornamental seed heads persist into winter. It thrives in partial shade, allowing its foliage to climb towards the light.
